Here is a little about me:
I am a graduate of Texas State University with a Bachelors in Psychology and a Masters in Professional Counseling.
I have been seeing clients for over 10 years.
I began my counseling experience working in hospice and I have comprehensive experience in grief work.
I have led multiple CPRT (Child Parent Relationship Therapy) groups and love watching parents grow in their attunement and confidence.
I am married and I have an elementary aged child and a baby on the way!
I have personal experience with divorce, single-parenting, remarriage and blending a family.
I enjoy reading close to 100 books a year, podcasts, spending time with friends and family and home design.
Counseling Techniques

Below is a list of counseling techniques that may be used in counseling based off each client’s needs and goals. Techniques also include but are not limited to talk therapy, telehealth activities including virtual Sandtray, mindfulness/body awareness, journaling and spiritual support.

“Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a psychotherapy treatment that is designed to alleviate the distress associated with traumatic memories.”

CPRT is a 10 lesson parenting support that focuses on strengthening the parent-child bond. Lessons include how to reflect your child’s feelings, “being with,” how to conduct weekly 30 minute play sessions for bonding with your child, choices for empowerment and discipline and esteem-building.

A variety of art activities may be used in session for processing feelings, self care, experiences and needs.
